Life Lately: July 2018

Hi all!πŸ‘‹πŸΌπŸ’• It’s been well over a month since I last posted (I’m sorry!) so I thought I’d get back on here with a ‘life lately’ to let you know what’s been going on!

First of all… I am now a WIFE!!!

On June 17th, I became Mrs. Reader-Neglia!πŸ‘°πŸΌ It feels so crazy writing that!!πŸ™ˆ Sean’s Godmother hosted a super small, but SUPER beautiful ceremony for us in her garden.

It was an unbelievably perfect day and we are both so happy right now!

As a lot of you may know, we had to marry within 90 days of me entering the US. We kept the ceremony very small and intimate as we will be having a larger ceremony with all of our family and friends in the future! I’m not sure how we’re going to plan anything more perfect than what Sean’s Godmother held for us on June 17th, but I’m excited to try!πŸ‘°πŸΌ I absolutely loved being a bride and can’t wait to do it again!

So, now there’s just one final step (and paymentπŸ˜‘) to make me a permanent resident here in the US! This, unfortunately, means I’m not going to be able to leave the country until that final step is completed (which means I might have to miss the family trip to Santorini😫) But once the whole process is complete, I will finally be able to look for a job and life will feel a little more normal than it has for the past yearπŸ™ˆ I must admit, although not making my own money has been killing me, I’ve had an amazing 12 months and still managed to do everything I’ve wanted to do (shout out to Dad and my amazing HusbandπŸ‘€)!

I’ve had a few people asking how I am settling into my new home/country… so far, SO GOOD! I was lucky enough to have some of my family and friends over to visit and I have a few other friends who want to visit soon, so that’s making it much easier for me.

Other than my family and friends, the only things I’m really missing right now are my mums roast dinners and Pontnewydd chip shop (if you know, you know)🀀 Oh, and Cadbury chocolate! They have Cadbury here but I does not taste the same at all! I guess it’s a good thing as my chocolate cravings are calming down a little.

So with the wedding and my family and friends visiting throughout June, it’s been nonstop partying/dinners/drinking. Which is the main reason for my lack of posting. But I am now getting back to reality (kind of) and will have some fun posts to share over the next couple of months!

I’d love to know what type of posts you’d like to read from me. Comment below if you have any ideas/requests!😘
